What is it like to be an intern at Wired Production Group?
As an intern with Wired Production Group, you will be given the opportunity to learn more about the video and event production industry. We offer paid internships in the summer months (May-August) starting at $15/hour. Internship opportunities consist of between 10 and 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling. All work is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with limited travel.

Current Internships
AV Intern
As an AV intern at Wired Production Group, essential functions will include working with the audio, video, lighting, and rigging team to execute shows, working with the warehouse team to load and unload trucks, learning basic event production flow (set, show, strike), learning basic inventory management, assisting in the preparation of show designs and demonstrations, and participating in production meetings to help develop event solutions.
The ideal intern candidate will be actively pursuing a degree in related field(s) OR be a recent college graduate. Additionally, the candidate will strongly demonstrate coursework in their field of interest, evidence of extracurricular activity in the field of interest, strong computer skills including experience using Google Suite and Microsoft Office, strong interpersonal skills for team-based working, including written and verbal communication skills, solid time management skills and an attitude of taking the initiative, eagerness to learn, and enthusiasm.

Marketing Intern
As a marketing intern at Wired Production Group, essential functions will include working with the marketing and sales team to execute marketing initiatives, developing video and photo content for social media, print, and digital marketing projects, copywriting, video editing, preparing sales materials, connecting with clients for referrals and reviews, and other marketing projects for clients as presented throughout the duration of the internship.
The ideal intern candidate will be actively pursuing a degree in a related field(s) OR be a recent college graduate. Additionally, the candidate will strongly demonstrate coursework in their field of interest, strong computer skills, including experience using Google Suite and Microsoft Office, strong interpersonal skills for team-based working, including written and verbal communication skills, solid time management skills, and an attitude of taking the initiative, eagerness to learn, and enthusiasm. Interest in writing, photo editing, and/or video editing is a plus.

LED Tech Intern
As an LED tech intern at Wired Production Group, essential functions will include working with the video and rigging team to design, build, and execute mobile LED screens and LED video walls at shows, working with the warehouse team to load and unload trucks, learning basic event production flow (set, show, strike), learning basic inventory management, assisting in the preparation of show LED designs and demonstrations, repairing LED screens and rigging parts, and participating in production meetings to help develop LED event solutions.
The ideal intern candidate will be actively pursuing a degree in related field(s) OR be a recent college graduate. Additionally, the candidate will strongly demonstrate coursework in their field of interest, strong computer skills including experience using Google Suite and Microsoft Office, strong interpersonal skills for team-based working, including written and verbal communication skills, solid time management skills and an attitude of taking the initiative, eagerness to learn, and enthusiasm.
