On February 4, 2016, the entire world at Wired Production Group (WPG) changed in one swift motion. Josh Busche came aboard the team.
Josh (also known as Busche, Maverick or Sir Josh) is a Director of Photography and Creative Producer in our video production department. He is a graduate from the University of Iowa with a degree in Cinema. The scope of his position at Wired Production Group is broad. We use his creative juices for just about everything you can think of on the job, but his talents really shine when it comes to his vision for video production. He uses a critical eye to create the best result for our clients.
“Maverick truly cares about how our clients’ images are portrayed and he puts strong emotion into their video and creative pieces,” says Amanda Pierce, WPG Client Account Manager.
He is able to focus for hours on editing a video piece for one client, then immediately switch gears to take his video camera on the road to work with another client. Our WPG Senior Editor and Videographer, Eric Freese, comments, “He’s quite likable and interesting to talk with — a real people person. Josh is great at his job because he has a discerning eye and can tell stories through the videos he produces. He works hard and strives to give clients something extra, no matter how big or small the project.”
Before joining the WPG team, Josh was a director at a local television station. He was the winner of a Golden Moose Award for Best Graphics in 2012. He is a proud husband and father as well as an avid gum chewer and breakfast cereal enthusiast. He is well respected by our team and gets along with just about everyone. WPG Production Manager, Mike Mennen, says about Josh, “If he was your neighbor and you asked him for a cup of sugar, he would kindly give you a cup of sugar.”
His strengths include a witty sense of humor, great taste in music, the ability to transfer any amount of words into an impressive photo or video, good choice in hats, laid back attitude…the list goes on and on. “Josh is always on the lookout to try something new,” shares Freese. “His ability to pick up skills swiftly has served him well—he is an FAA-certified drone pilot, he works with projection mapping and experiments with virtual reality (VR) video. Josh faces challenging situations and projects with quick thinking and a genuine desire to learn the hows and whys.”
All of these strengths make him a true asset to our organization. At the end of the day, we want to tell Josh, “We appreciate you!” Congratulations on two years with Wired Production Group.
