In February 2018, the Wired Production Group team was invited to manage the event production for the the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance Annual Meeting. We have very unique clients that bring creative ideas to the table, and the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance is no exception. The theme of their event: “Building our future, together.”
Every successful event starts with the event planning. The event management logistics meant we would need to have multiple video screens for video production, including a live feed and pre-recorded video clips. More than 1,000 people were invited to attend this event from a variety of surrounding cities, so the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance needed to select a location that would be centrally located in the community. The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Convention Complex in Downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was selected as the event location. We have the opportunity to work in the DoubleTree on a regular basis — many corporate meetings, conventions, conferences, trade shows and private events are hosted there.
Our Wired Production Group team and client were able to create a custom stage design that encapsulated each of the features of their annual lunch meeting just as they wanted. The custom LED video wall was perfect to showcase and tie-in our client’s theme with the ‘building blocks’ concept. That’s one of the things we love about what we do! Whatever concept our client has in mind, we run with it! We help make their ideas come to life through collaboration and stage design ideas.
Four screens, four projectors, forty-two LED panels, three laptops… the equipment list goes on! Event set ups are easy when we know that our team back at the warehouse has the organizational skills to pack everything that our AV production staff needs for the event. Our event planning team works closely together from the moment we find out we are managing and producing the event to the second we are done unpacking back at the warehouse after the special event is over. It’s all about the team you have behind the production!
