Make Your Event Shine Bright with Professional Lighting Design & Stage Rigging by Britin Robinson

With a mix of creativity and technical knowledge, live event professionals know what it takes to produce the best events for clients. At Wired Production Group, we produce over 300 events each year across the United States. Most of these events require professional stage design and rigging along with lighting design. The stage is the main focus of any event and it’s imperative that it is built soundly and looks stellar to WOW the audience. To make this happen, you work with a rigger and lighting designer, like Britin Robinson.

Though he was born in the small, snowy town of Loveland, Colorado, Britin was raised in Iowa. His interest in lighting and rigging began when he worked for Ringling Brothers after he graduated from Indian Hills Community College with a degree in mechanical studies. After working in the role as Electrician and Pyrotechnician for two years, Britin transferred to the University of Northern Iowa where he studied Theatre Design and Production. From there, his interest in furthering his career backstage exploded.

Upon graduation, Britin was hired to tour with Pippin the Musical as Head Electrician and Head Rigger. Immediately following the tour, Britin changed gears and took on the role as Head Rigger with the Wizard of Oz. While traveling internationally with the Wizard of Oz, Britin met his soon-to-be wife, Megan, on the tour. She is a talented actress who had a smile that Britin could not resist. He somehow made time to light up her life between shows. Let’s call that great dedication and time management skills!

After 420 shows in 150 cities in 5 different countries across the world, Britin knew that as the tour ended there would be “no place like home.” We’re very thankful that Iowa is considered home. Britin joined our Wired Production Group family in October 2019 and has brought incredible talent and experience to our crew. We look forward to working with him on many shows for years to come. Thank you, Britin, for being a part of our team!
